Android Live Code with Christopher Price of iConsole.tv and HTC's Dario Laverde!

Details

Get a live code demonstration of Android – you'll actually get to see an Android device building its own copy of Android!

Christopher Price is the founder and CEO of iConsole.tv (http://www.iconsole.tv/), the upcoming high-end Android gaming console. The iConsole.tv Developer Kit, Unit 00 (http://developer.iconsole.tv/), is currently the most powerful Android device shipping.

Chris will also go over the current x86 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X86) devices, such as the all-new Dell Venues, Galaxy Tab 3 10.1, as well as upcoming devices like iConsole.tv.
App developers will walk away with what they need to know, and how to best target x86 alongside ARM in their app development. More importantly, developers will gain key insights as to why targeting x86 is important, and why x86 will soon represent a large portion of the Android device ecosystem.

We're also pleased to have HTC's Dario Laverde, who will code LIVE using the new IR API from Android 4.4 (KitKat) as well as a live coding demo using the new BLE (Bluetooth Smart) API from Android 4.3.

Dario is a senior developer evangelist at HTC. He has experience in software development for mobile, embedded, Web and enterprise. Among his various professional roles, he has worked as an Android instructor, consultant, Java architect, author and entrepreneur. Dario leads the NYC-GDG (Google Developer Group), the NYCJava JUG, and co-organizes the New York Android Developers Meetup. He also runs the New York City-based skylight1 open-source Android project group that is currently producing Google Glass projects.

We're also pleased to let you know that our Meetup sponsor Intel has provided free t-shirts for all attendees, and one lucky attendee will win a free Samsung Galaxy Tablet!
