Welcome to the Twilight Poets, formerly known as "Night Light Poets"!
This group has started anew and refreshed: we have new coordinators, new ideas and new energy!
Twilight Poets is an inspiration incubator. It is a friendly place for poetry enthusiasts who would like to share thoughts on verse and life. We inspire each other in all kinds of ways: on misty and wondrous weeknights we tell each other about the fabulous, crazy, tiring, sad, wonderful worlds of poetry and how they can reflect and affect our lives.
This group is for writers and readers alike as we will explore poetry in practice and theory. You can bring your own poetry to be discussed or you can bring a piece or discourse which you would like to talk about. We will share information on everything that's going on in the poetry world, keep each other updated and attend events together.
Whether you're an introvert or an extrovert or both, everybody is very welcome in this group: this is a place of kindness, inclusiveness and broad mindedness. If you do not write your poetry in English, bring it along anyway. If you're stuck in a stanza and don't know how to get out, sharing can help you find the exit. We will just go with the flow and see where the momentum of creativity takes us.
We will suggest a prompt or a theme for every meeting but it is not mandatory to follow them. If the piece you would like to share is very long – for example a theoretical text – please prepare a list of the key points. Please send your texts, lines and ideas to the coordinators at least three days ahead of the meetup so everyone gets a chance to prepare them.
We're looking forward to seeing you at the Twilight Poets!
