He has deep experience in data architecture across a broad range of technologies over the last 10 years. Cliff has worn many hats from running a consulting practice specializing in modern data architectures to helping hundreds of customers successfully deploy opensource solutions from the earliest stages to tuning production systems at scale. Title: TBC Abstract: TBC ------ Speaker: Neil Buesing, OPI Bio: Director, real-time data for Object Partners, Inc. (OPI). With over 18 years of experience at OPI, Neil had and is leading software development projects for e-commerce, insurance, and healthcare industries. Neil's current development focus is around the use of Apache Kafka for microservice communication along with legacy database integration. Title: No tables needed, the latest advancements of KSQL. Abstract: Neil Buesing will demonstrate various joining and windowing of Kafka Streams, and showcase the lastest KSQL features. This includes joins without KTables and user-defined functions. ------ Speaker: John Holland, PeopleNet Bio: John Holland is a Staff Engineer at PeopleNet, a Trimble company, located in Minnetonka, MN. PeopleNet serves the trucking industry by providing innovative onboard connected technology that improves a fleets efficiency, safety and reduces cost. He has been with them for over 5 years, the last as a full time employee. During that time he has been focused on real-time data, the movement, integration, definition and processing of it across large distributed systems. When he's not plumbing data about he enjoys finding more ways to make the traditional relational database less relevant. Title: Dude, Where's My Data? Abstract: In the age of massively distributed systems and specialized query engines data consistency can be difficult to achieve.     This Meetup Group will focus on the Apache Kafka® technology and its ecosystem, also allowing its members to interact and share their use cases, do and don't, how to's, etc.

    We will also hear about the Confluent Platform and topics like Kafka's Connect API and streaming data pipelines, Kafka’s Streams API and stream processing, Security, Microservices and anything else related to Apache Kafka.

    If you want to hear about a particular topic please let us know and we will try to find the best possible speaker.
