What we're about

Often, amongst the sea of work and other life pressures, we forget our own development. Not only that, we forget about our wellbeing too. Yet both of these things are fundamental to our performance at work – and our happiness in life.

We believe that for you to be at your best, you need to keep working on yourself. It’s a combination of self-care and self-knowledge that enables you to navigate the growing demands and opportunities that work and life present.

Two Young Birds was founded by Natasha Wallace and Kate Millington-Lusardi, to help women to be at their best. Natasha and Kate don’t take themselves too seriously but take being a woman very seriously. With a background in leadership, female development and organisational behaviour, they recognise how gender can influence how women perform (and feel) at work.

After years of focusing on equality, we’ve made great progress in balancing out the roles that men and women play in the workplace but there is still more to be done. Not least to enable brilliant women to be brilliant women at work, and to nurture the important qualities that women bring to teams.

We know that through a greater understanding of self, others, mindset, and how to cultivate great relationships, women can achieve even more – and we want to support that. It’s these human skills that make a tremendous difference to the way that we as women perform, and to the way that they feel. When we feel good, they do better work.
We also know that having a support network of people experiencing the same challenges and opportunities, is important for resilience. The Two Young Birds provides the environment where like minded people can come together to share, learn and support each other – catalysing personal growth.
Our network helps women to build the resilience, social skills and self-awareness that will enable them to achieve what they are capable of whilst bringing even more to the teams that they work in.

How it works

Two Young Birds is a Female Development Network that brings together women from all industries and at all levels.
We run monthly half day workshops in London that are engaging, thought-provoking, and provide the space to work on your own personal development and build your network.

Covering a wide range of topics from building self-knowledge and effective relationships, to understanding more about how the brain works, our aim is to help women to become more consciously aware of themselves, and others, in order to feel confident and capable in the workplace.

Our aim is to create an environment that people love being a part of which is why we select awesome venues, attract people who want to be at their best, and share knowledge to enable you to work on making lasting and practical changes after each workshop.

Getting to know me

Second Home Spitalfields

What are you doing to develop yourself? Are you achieving what you are capable of? Do you sometimes doubt yourself? Are you clear about what's getting in the way of you fulfilling your potential? Most of us have busy lives and most of us want to do a great job, whether that be at work or in our personal lives. Yet unless you understand yourself, who you are and what makes you flourish, you're likely to be holding yourself back. At our inaugural event, we will look at the subject of ‘you’. Most of the time we are on autopilot and on that mode, we can't guarantee to be at our best. It also compromises our ability to achieve our goals and sometimes out mental health. When you become more consciously aware of your programming, what makes you tic and how your daily choices affect your performance, you can achieve more. During this workshop we'll look at: - Dealing with your inner critic - The impact of beliefs on your performance - Dealing with the elephant that lives in your head - You will come out with a better understanding of how your mind works, how it limits you and how to pay better attention to what's working and what isn't. And you'll get to do it with other awesome women who are on the same journey as you.
