USU Permaculture: Planting Lasagna Gardens
Details
• What we'll do
Come learn how to make a "lasagna garden" by helping plant seedlings at USU's permaculture garden. It will be a causal gardening activity. Dress for the weather and plan on getting your hands dirty!
• What to bring
If you have any of the following, bring it and we can include it in the lasagna garden:
-Food scraps (apple cores, melon rinds, etc. NO meat or dairy)
-Cardboard boxes (the less ink the better)
-Green waste (grass clippings, dead plants, etc. BUT nothing that has had poison on it)
-Any other compost
Extra plants are also welcome!
Also bring a shovel and/or hand trowel if you have your own (if not, no worries) and a water bottle
