Hugelkultur Tour: Mound Gardens in River Heights
Details
Bill Bradbury will lead a tour of a Permaculture Garden with Hugelkutur mound gardens on Saturday, September 22, 2018, 10 a.m.
Wood debris serves as a sponge in the mounds, allowing for productive edible landscaping with far less supplemental watering.
If you are interested in participating, let me know (hilary.shughart@gmail.com).
We will also be looking for people to help implement a similar Hugelkutur mound garden this fall at the USU Permaculture Garden behind Aggie Ice Cream. The Food Forest demonstration garden is providing for Campus Kitchen, the Cache Pantry, and Nutrition, Dietetics and Food Science students. Let me know if you want to help build the Hugelkultur mounds at the USU Logan Permaculture Garden (hilary.shughart@gmail.com).
