Details
About the Presentation:
Recently, Bob Reselmen decided to learn COBOL, for no other reason than the fact that there are a lot of mainframe installations out there and it’s the mainstay language for many of them. So he took the plunge. And now it's your turn.
Topics covered during this talk are:
A brief history of COBOL
How to get up and running programming COBOL on your laptop
A demonstration of COBOL code in action
Understanding the structure of a COBOL program
Understanding how COBOL handles data types and variables
Understanding how COBOL encapsulates behavior into functions
How to make COBOL a lucrative part of your career path
