Kick-off Meetup (plus an intro to the dplyr package)

Details
The first UVa R Users Group meetup is underway. For this first effort, we'll be meeting from 4:00-5:30 in the Library Data Commons@Curry, located in Ruffner Hall 302.
While we're billing it as the UVa Users group (because that's where we are), all are welcome! This and all future events will be open to anyone in the Charlottesville area.
For the first meetup, we'll do a little housekeeping, and then Stephen Turner, the Director of the Bioinformatics Core at UVa, will kick things off with a demonstration of advanced data manipulation and visualization with big data (about 20-30 minutes). After some Q&A, we'll make some introductions, and talk about times/venues/ formats/topics that would make this group useful for you! We'll be sure to leave some time for socializing and general R chatter. Oh, and we'll have some afternoon snacks! We hope to see you there!
To get to Ruffner Hall 302, enter Ruffner (#44 (http://www.virginia.edu/webmap/GMcCormickRoadArea.html)) from the NE doors (the ones off the duck pond and parking lot -- but don't park there). Take the stairs or elevator to your right to the 3rd floor; enter the doors across from the elevator and Bob's your uncle.
If you're coming from off-grounds, Ruffner is across the street and down a block from the Central Grounds Garage ($2/hour, cash only).
