We are happy to announce the next UVa R Users Group meetup, which will be held in a new location (Alderman Library Room 421) on Wednesday March 29 from 4:00-5:30PM.
We'll be hearing from TBD. No, that's not a package ... it's 5 or 6 speakers each of whom will present in a lightning talk format (10-15 minutes) about a specific problem, solution or general approach to using R.
Who are these speakers? We have a few volunteers but we're still looking for others. This will be a casual format and a great opportunity to share your work with meetup members. If you are interested in speaking, please drop me a line via the contact form on the meetup site.
Here's the lineup so far:
- Jeff Boichuk (R for marketing analysis)
- John Gulino (Google Maps API)
- Clay Ford (CDC Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) data analysis)
- Nathan Day (magrittr / purrr)
- Jameson Hinkle (bull trout population simulation)
All those who RSVP on the meetup site will be entered into the $25 Amazon gift card raffle. To win just show up, see if we pick your name and claim your prize.
