February meetup - Six decades of personal computing and some consequences for R

We're thrilled to announce our February 2019 meetup, to be held on Wednesday February 20 from 4:30-6:00PM in the UVa Brown Science and Engineering Library. John C. Nash will join us to present on his experiences with computational algorithms and R development over the years. The talk will include a brief overview of John's histoRicalg project, which is funded by the R Consortium:

The library is in the back of Clark Hall. Room 133 is on the main level. As you enter the building, walk straight and continue through the entry hall with murals to enter the library. Room 133 is to the left.
