Hello! If you're into reading and chatting about books in a laid-back, friendly environment, then this club is for you. We meet once a month, usually on the last Monday of the month, and we read everything from classics to new novels to memoirs. All are welcome, just click "join" to have updates and information sent right to your inbox. There are no strict attendance or reading policies, just show up when you're in the mood (though there is a $2 meeting fee collected upon arrival). Happy reading!
May's book is An American Marriage by Tayari Jones:
Newlyweds Celestial and Roy are the embodiment of both the American Dream and the New South. He is a young executive, and she is an artist on the brink of an exciting career. But as they settle into the routine of their life together, they are ripped apart by circumstances neither could have imagined.
• Back to our usual haunt this month! (As far as I know. Will update if there are any changes)
• Suggestions for future books are always welcome; just please make sure they're of a reasonable length and easily accessible at the library/most stores. Just drop a comment here or send me a message and I'll add it to the list
• Unfortunately, I've been informed that pets are not allowed at the center for allergy/health code reasons, though service animals are of course permitted
• You certainly don't 'have to' finish the book before attending the meeting! You might get spoiled if you're not done, but all are welcome for our casual chats
