The UX Bookclub Los Angeles meets monthly online to discuss a book relevant to user experience. We discuss the book throughout the month online through Meetup discussions and at the end of the month have a livestream with the author. The Bookclub has a range of different members with varying levels of experience in UX - we are particularly pleased to welcome newcomers to UX who are looking to find out more or to break into the field. So, join us! We would love to have you attend. Please contact us if you are interested in sponsoring our meetup (http://www.meetup.com/UX-Bookclub-Los-Angeles/suggestion/).
Join us July 31st at 7:00pm PDT as we talk with author & project management guru, Brett Harned. We'll be discussing his book, Project Management for Humans.
About the event:
If you are new to our book club, or format is simple. We read a book over a given month then at the end of that month we bring on the author in a virtual event to share addition insights and answer any questions you may have regarding the book.
During the event we will be taking your questions over twitter@UXBCLA (https://twitter.com/uxbcla) and having Val answer those for you during the event.
Online Event link: Coming soon
About the book:
Project management—it’s not just about following a template or using a tool, but rather developing personal skills and intuition to find a method that works for everyone. Whether you’re a designer or a manager, Project Management for Humans will help you estimate and plan tasks, scout and address issues before they become problems, and communicate with and hold people accountable.
