UX Tasca is the relaunch of Lisbon UX Cocktail Hour. We renamed it UX Tasca to give a it Portuguese feel. Tasca is the portuguese name for a local restaurant. The aim of the meetup is for people to gather and discuss ideas, just like in Tasca's. The event will be an ambassador in Lisbon for the other User Experience networking events, occurring in the rest of Europe like UX Cocktail hour in Amsterdam and Rotterdam, UX Happy Hour in Berlin, and UX in the Pub in the UK and Ireland.

The event is open to anyone  in Lisbon that’s interested in User Experience, from Designers wanting to know more about the field, Startups wanting to know how they can improve their UX, to researchers wanting to know more about the different UX study methods.

After each event we have booked a local Tasca for dinner, so we can get to know each other properly.

The team includes:

Paulo Fonseca is one of Portugal's biggest UX evangelist and practitioner and he also has given many Workshops on UX including how “Bad UX Kills People”. He has worked with clients on UX issues from New York to Kuwait. Paulo also organises BREAK, the largest monthly networking event in Lisbon.

Scarlet Gillett has an event managing and marketing background. She has worked in Portugal, Middle East and Far East Asia. Scarlet organises events in Lisbon such as GRID, ENTREPRENEUR'S BREAKFAST, and LISBON DEMO NIGHT. She will be making sure that the event runs smoothly.

James Page is the founder of Webnographer, a UX Data company. Webnographer’s tools and methods help major brands such Budweiser, Becks, British Telecom, Vodafone, Cambridge and University Press measure the User Experience and helping them improve their sales online. James has co-organised many UX events including UX Brighton, UX Camp Berlin, and Lean UX Denver.

Supported by Fábrica de Startups, laux, and Webnographer.
