Register for this event here: https://academyxi.com/events/designing-for-trust/ Trust is in question around the world, across all industries and societies. It encompasses how we think about brands, how we borrow money, how we purchase products and how we use services. It even comes down to how we work with others within our organisations. So how do we design for it intentionally? Is trust something that can be designed for? If you’re working in an industry being disrupted, or you are dealing with more and more discerning customers, this event is for you! We will curate a panel of speakers from emerging tech, design and business to discuss what it really takes to Design for Trust, and we will ask them to discuss the following: • What is trust? • How can individuals promote trust within large companies? • Is designing for trust the role of management or the role of designers?
This will be a paid workshop and seats are limited. To secure your attendance, please register here: https://www.eventbrite.sg/e/ux-research-series-workshop-1-research-planning-tickets-65085223656 User experience design (UXD) is the process of designing satisfaction by improving the customer’s experience when interacting with the product. Using a focused and deliberate Human Centred Design process, we design solutions that solve real problems in real life contexts for real people. Design research is a critical component of the process where we gain vital insight into the problem being solved. Why conduct research? So we don’t build the wrong usable thing — Like a snow machine for an eskimo… Fact: UX is not really UX without user research. User research focuses on understanding; • User behaviours • User needs • User motivations Have you ever wondered how good user research is conducted? Are you currently in a role where you need to conduct user research, and you’re not sure where to start? Do you manage a UX team and not quite sure how they conduct their user research? Over 3 Workshops, you will learn from experts how to conduct good user research from the outset. Gain the skills and tools to hustle ahead in your career. The first deep-dive workshop in this series will cover Research Planning; specifically: • Identifying Research Areas • Creating Hypotheses • Familiarising with the range of Research Tools • Identifying a suitable Research Process This workshop is part of a 3-Part User Research Series. The following workshops will cover: Conducting User Interviews & Research Synthesis. These workshops are best completed in a series, but feel free to pick one or two depending on where you need the skills!
