Web accessibility is part of web usability and UX, yet quite often it has been among last priorities in web design & IT projects.
What are the accessibility guidelines, who should be in charge of them and why it actually matters - this is going to be focus of our November meet-up.

"Web Accessibility - why we are still here?"
Although the desired level of web accessibility is actually defined by a law in the European Union, the real situation on the market is still far from satisfactory. In his talk Vladimir will outline the most important concepts related to the web accessibility, discuss the main reason for the current situation
Vladimir is a Senior Research Fellow in the School of Digital Technologies at Tallinn University. Vladimir's research interests generally are related to well-being. Specifically, he is interested in Design for All, Design for Accessibility, Design for Nutrition, and Interaction Design. Vladimir includes in his studies a wide spectrum of technologies, from the web design to the wearable computers.
