Details
Data is useless unless it structured enough to become information. We spent decades building information systems. What makes them valuable is patterns that constitute transferable knowledge.
How might we grow knowledge? Join us for the conversation about data-driven design, human factors, and the ultimate goal of the knowledge economy. Data may be the oil, but what is valuable is gasoline and plastic. And when there is too much of both we have another problem. I guess this metaphor does work, after all.
Can we get to the wisdom already?
Michele Chan and David Ng, the SCMP Growth team, are joining us for the evening. We got amazing Lauren Berning. And Rahul Ramchand. Yes, once again, incredible panel. I will share a bit more about the all the speakers and talks soon!
As usual, it will be a welcoming crowd of professionals on the intersection of Design and Technology. Short talks, long QnA, best networking in the town, afterparty in a quiet (so that you can hear what they are saying!) bar. I can't wait to see you all!

How this works?
We gather at 7 PM, we chat a bit and welcome each other.
Around 7:20 PM, the host, me, will start the talk and asking people to take seats. By 7:35 PM, the first short presentation should be starting. We do our best to reduce distractions and get to the point.
Each presenter has 10-12 minutes. This sets the topics. Then we start the join QnA. I will be running around to give you a mic and facilitate the conversation. This is the most important part of the evening: we want people to ask real, hard questions and get short-and-to-the-point answers.
By around 9:30 PM, we done and normally go to a quiet (so that we can keep talking!) bar nearby. This time we will see how streets look like.
