Hi UXPA'ers!

Tomorrow night we are so excited to present World Usability Day 2017! The theme this year is INCLUSION.

We took this theme and looked at what's been (FINALLY) going on in our society - people are not taking it anymore and are speaking up about sexual, gender, race and abuse in general.

-------------------------------

**RSVP on EVENTBRITE - https://wud17.eventbrite.com/?aff=MU**

DISCOUNT CODE: IncludeWUD17

-------------------------------

We're going to address this topic in 2 talks and some exercises and a tiny workshop:

  • Margot Dear - Senior Director of User Experience at ADP - will look at how teams made up of people with diverse backgrounds make great products.
  • Bianca Nasser - Adjunct Instructor and MFA Candidate, ArtCenter College of Design - Will talk about micro-aggressions, what they are and what to do about them in a exercise and mini-workshop.
  • Town Hall - We'll break into groups to workshop and share solutions to what's going on in our workplaces and our lives in general

GETTING THERE AND PARKING:

  • Metro Expo Line to Santa Monica https://goo.gl/maps/ezaGzF7xaTy
17th Street / SMC Station (walk across the street!)
  • Olympic Blvd to 16th (16th is 1-way)
  • Parking: Metered parking in front of Philosophie takes quarters and Credit Cards. Street Parking. PLEASE WATCH SIGNS!!

RAFFLE ITEMS:

The usual fun stuff! I'm stopping by Blick Art Store again to pick up some kooky things plus other great stuff!

Really excited about this year's WUD and hope to see everyone tomorrow night!
