What we're about

"I would never read a book if it were possible for me to talk half an hour with the person who wrote it."
- Woodrow Wilson

Please join us as we cover a wide range of UX related-topics, i.e. user experience, behavioral psychology, interaction design, information architecture, design thinking and even statistics.

Book Of The Month - Lean UX - A Chat With Author Jeff Gothelf

The September Book of the Month is Jolt Award Winner, Lean UX: Designing Great Products with Agile Teams. Co-author Jeff Gothelf has graciously agreed to join us for a virtual lunch and chat session on Wednesday, September 2nd at noon PST. The author bio is located below the agenda, and here's the book synopsis from Amazon: "Lean UX has become the preferred approach to interaction design, tailor-made for today’s agile teams. In the second edition of this award winning book, leading advocates Jeff Gothelf and Josh Seiden expand on the valuable Lean UX principles, tactics, and techniques covered in the first edition to share how product teams can easily incorporate design, experimentation, iteration, and continuous learning from real users into their Agile process." To attend please RSVP here. After your RSVP, you should be able to view the Zoom access link. Please do not share the access link as the Zoom bridge has a 100 attendee limit. This event has a RSVP cap at 99, since the author is our plus one guest. Although you don't have to read the book to participate, we encourage that you do or at least start reading as a courtesy to the author. This is a book club after all ;-) To read Lean UX, it may be found at your local library or can be purchased at online sites listed at the bottom of this page. Also, we would like to share with Jeff some pre-event questions from our members. Please send suggested questions via DM to Pete (Organizer). More importantly, please do not post these questions in the comments because of Meetup spam (a notification message is sent to all members for every new comment). During the event, once we are in flow, we can add topical and follow on questions. FYI, if you are not receiving messages from our group, your notifications have either been turned off or disabled in your settings, or the messages have been redirected to your junk mail folder.
