What we're about

"I would never read a book if it were possible for me to talk half an hour with the person who wrote it."
- Woodrow Wilson

Please join us as we cover a wide range of UX related-topics, i.e. user experience, behavioral psychology, interaction design, information architecture, design thinking and even statistics.

Anyone who considers themselves curious is welcome! Reading the book is not required :) You will always learn something new, no matter what!

Let's discuss "Thinking, Fast And Slow (Daniel Kahneman)"

The Pine Tavern Ballard

Hi, let's meet in person again. I picked Pike Tavern in Ballard for this meet-up. We'll be sitting outside - I'd recommend bringing a warm sweater or a blanket as well :). Open to suggestions in case anyone knows of a good place to meet.

The book we'll be discussing is "Thinking, Fast And Slow by Daniel Kahneman" While it’s not strictly a design book, Daniel Kahneman explores in depth how quickfire vs considered decision-making determines how people behave in different situations. The book can help you reconsider your approach to user research and has insights on how to have better conversations. Some of the ideas in the book are also valuable to keep in mind when designing products.

Hope to see you then and happy reading!
