We would like to end our UX meets Sustainability series and our event’s year by inviting you all to participate in a collective reflection on how 2020 has left an indelible mark on our lives and professions as designers.

For this reflection, we are delighted to announce our roundtable of panelists:

Romy Snijders

Romy is a Dutch multidisciplinary designer. Her work combines design, art, science, engineering and culture. She is passionate about challenging people’s understanding of the world to shape a positive future. She has a very holistic approach to design, allowing her to work on the very complex and wicked problems we face today. Currently, Romy is working on a project for Dark Matter Labs as a strategic design researcher. She holds a BSc Industrial Design from the Delft University of Technology and a MA/MSc Global Innovation Design from the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London.

Fernanda Dobal

Fernanda is an innovation designer turned entrepreneur. She has a BA in Philosophy, Politics & Economics and a dual MA/MSc in Global Innovation Design. She has a background in education technology, a field in which she built digital products that are used by millions of kids. In 2019 joined Zinc, the UK's largest social impact accelerator. There she started Bia Care with her co-founder. Bia was inspired by the co-founders' desire to eliminate the gender healthcare gap and helps women going through menopause access the care they deserve.

Nanette Hogervorst

Nanette Hogervorst, 36 years old and lives in Amsterdam, is the founder of the Sustainable Fashion Gift Card. A gift card that you can redeem at 60+ sustainable fashion brands, (web) stores, clothing libraries and experience shops such as the Fashion for Good fashion museum. Before setting up the SFGC, she worked for years in the field of sustainability and communication within the financial sector and was socially active for organizations such as Amnesty International. Since 2017 she has been actively committed to a more sustainable fashion industry. She blogged and interviewed experts, which eventually led to the Sustainable Fashion Gift Card: https://sustainablefashiongiftcard.nl/
