We'll then dive deep into Uber's RIBs, an open source mobile framework that was built for scalability and reliability. We'll finish with a look at our journey architecting Uber's new driver app. Jeff Hu is a software engineer at Uber Technologies where he leads eats marketplace mobile initiatives. Prior to joining Uber NYC in 2015, he worked at Microsoft Canada, Foursquare NYC, RIM Toronto. Jeff graduated from McGill University in Montréal with a degree in Computer Science. *BaseMobile: Introducing Design Systems to Ubers Mobile Ecosystem -- Kate Swanson During this presentation, mobile engineer Kate Swanson will discuss the evolution of specific design systems used at Uber and offering a behind the scenes look at our new, open source mobile engineering design system, BaseUI. Kate Swanson has been a software engineer at Uber since 2014, and has worked across a wide variety of Uber’s mobile products from the Rider app, to Uber Eats and Mobile Platform design systems. She came to Uber after mobile development at Facebook, and graduated with an MS in Computer Science at Stanford University.
