Ultimaker Sessions - Post processing with XTC-3D

After an interesting and informing Ultimaker Session about our beloved Ultimaker 3 we figured a little bit more interaction would keep things spicy! So let's get our hands dirty again :)

This Ultimaker Session, we will talk about post processing your 3D prints with XTC-3D. Don't worry... I double checked. It is really a thing: XTC-3D. We are not going post processing on some crazy trip! XTC-3D is an epoxy resin which adds a protective coating to your 3D prints. Besides that, it makes it feel smoother too.

We wouldn't be us, if we didn't do some experimenting too. All safe of course. We added some metal powders in the mix, which resulted in a pretty awesome metal-look on your 3D print.

You could finish up with a final copper grease coating, to bring out the bronze look even more but that is not mandatory.

During our presentation, we'll explain to you what we learned and what you should look out for if you would like to give this a try yourself. After the presentation, we will make sure to have some XTC-3D available so if you are interested you can give it a shot yourself :)

We would like to ask you to bring your own print if you want to give it a shot.
