2/15/2014- CIAO AMICI! It's Katerina. Following up our exercises on Ci and Ne from last week: I have a list of exercises I plan to bring for Wed the 19th based on the movie La Stanza del Figlio. You don't have to see the movie to answer the questions, but it will make the exercise more meaningful. The movie is available on Netflix (recommended) and at http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/sons_room/ . Kindly note I don't know anything about the safety of live streaming from the internet. That's why I prefer netflix.
It's a powerful story of love and grief that I think won an award at the Cannes Film festival in 2000 or 2001.
I also have a list of vocabulary based on the movie that I posted in the More/Files section.
Per usual, anyone can prepare a Mostra e Dimostra to share with the group! :
Mostra e Dimostra: preparate un piccolo racconto o una frase famosa da condividere con il gruppo. Includete delle parole legate al tema dell'incontro.
Questa classe e' principalmente in italiano, per gli studenti di livello intermedio ed avanzato che gia studiano l'italiano. Tutti sono benvenuti quando c'e' posto. E' consigliabile che i principianti vengano alla classe per i principianti. (This class is taught primarily in Italian for intermediate and advanced level students who are already studying Italian. All are welcome if there is enough room. It is however recommended that beginners come to the beginner classes before attending the advanced level ones).
