Defcon Group: DC443 - Hacker Hangout

WHAT IS IT?
An evolution of the OSCP study group. It’s our goal to learn hands-on techniques, generally on the red-team side, as well as strengthen our CTF skills. The 'hangout' means just that. It's a means to meet likeminded people and socialize in a technical environment.

FORMAT:
Casual but hands on.

We pick a vulnerable VM or Wargame and walk through it.
Alternatively we do a CTF.
While this is happening, we talk infosec.

SUMMARY:
This is largely hands on and informal. If you want something structured, look at the other DC443 events.

GOAL: Hack stuff, Meet other people who like hacking stuff.

SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate; Many of the people who have been attending were studying for, or now have our OSCP’s, have decent experience in linux and/or scripting, or have spent some time in ctf’s.

PRESENTER: Flay / Whoever

EQUIPMENT: Laptop with Kali / Your distro of choice. I use arch for development and Kali for wireless and convenience. a VM or bootable USB is fine. And BYOB.
