Thriving in dialogue with "the other" isn't easy! Creating space for multiple (often conflicting) points of view requires skill and perspective. Otherwise: 1.) we see labels not persons, 2.) the “will to power” has our cherished beliefs and opinions needing to prevail in our discussions — we need to be right! and 3.) once “triggered” we become “meme machines” and our heated discussions incinerate. Uncommon solidarity is a felt experience and begins and ends with empathy.
