What profession are you in?

I am trained as an attorney, but was PHD tract at one point, now I'm a Labor Organizer.

Please list at least three books that you would be interested in reading and discussing with the group? (Note you must answer this question with some specific titles)

"Pragmatism" by William James "The History of Sexuality" by Foucault "Gender Trouble" Judith Butler

Have you been a member of other book clubs and what did you like or not like about those groups?

Yes, but none on here. I organized a book club at my former job back on the east coast and it was riddled with people who did not read the book and disagreement as to what "type" of books we should read.

Hi, I'm Matt and I recently moved from Connecticut with my wife to Berkeley for work. I have a masters in American Lit and Lit Theory and consider myself a veracious reader, especially of non-fiction theory and philosophy.
