The United States Humanist Party is a newly established political party created by millennials and primarily—but not exclusively—for millennials and generation Z, to counterbalance the destructive and manipulative economic policies orchestrated by the baby boomer plutocrats (i.e., a small, elite and well organized wealthy subset of baby boomers.) We Humanists have dubbed these baby boomer plutocrats “plutocracy democracy.” Plutocracy democracy is an oligarchy—specifically, government of the wealthy, by the wealthy and for the wealthy via hijacking of all branches of government. We Humanists—specifically, we of the United States Humanist Party—stand for intergenerational justice and are going to present our INDICTMENT of the BABY BOOMER PLUTOCRATS, exposing the evidence indicating how they deliberately financially screwed the millennial generation.
Collectively, the baby boomer generation (born 1946-1964) inherited a prosperous United States with a negligible intergenerational debt burden from the WWII Generation. Beginning in the 1980s, plutocracy democracy has been in charge of America. The fate of the millennial generation (born 1981-1996) was in their hands. How did they do? Appallingly, they callously and deliberately bequeathed the most atrocious intergenerational debt burden in American history to the millennial generation. At the same time, evidence suggests millennials are being deliberately indoctrinated, betrayed and gas-lighted, ruining not only their future but their dignity. This disempowerment is a deliberate political weapon used to marginalize and control millennials. Consequently, millennials will never know retirement.
Before we Humanists commence with our INDICTMENT of the BABY BOOMER PLUTOCRATS, please ask yourself these three fundamental questions:
1. “If plutocrism capitalism—rooted in NEOLIBERALISM—works so well, why, then, are millennials struggling financially?”
2. “Why is the millennial generation WORSE OFF than both generation X and the baby boomer generation?”
3. “Is America better-off today (2020) than it was 40 years ago (1980)—BEFORE the baby boomer plutocrats took over power from their WWII generation parents?”
In addition to presenting our INDICTMENT of the BABY BOOMER PLUTOCRATS, we are going to answer those three specific questions and expose the evidence suggesting why the millennial generation is screwed!
WHAT IS THE UNITED STATES HUMANIST PARTY
Ø The United States Humanist Party is a newly established political party created by millennials and primarily—but not exclusively—for millennials and generation Z, to counterbalance the destructive and manipulative economic policies orchestrated by the baby boomer plutocrats (i.e., a small, elite and well organized wealthy subset of baby boomers.)
Ø We are an open-minded, inclusive, politically neutral movement that evaluates American and world affairs objectively.
Ø We adhere to evidence-based public policy in determining and implementing what is best for the United States of America.
Ø We safeguard equal opportunity, class mobility, civil liberties, and justice for all Americans—present and future.
Ø We advocate for the election of critical thinkers to Congress—millennials, scientists, educators, etc.
Ø We stand for intergenerational justice.
Ø We stipulate America should lead by example—specifically, to perform actions consistent with our principles.
WHAT IS HUMANISIM?
“Humanism is a thought process seeking solely rational objective solutions to human problems via critical thinking without credulity, and motivated by compassion and wisdom.”
—United States Humanist Party official definition
Solutions specific to the problems of millennial and generation Z will not come from either the Democratic or Republican Parties. Evidence suggests that compromise has been legally taken out of American democracy using gerrymandering, Senate filibusters, DARK MONEY, First Amendment free speech protection for corporations, Presidential executive authority, DE funding, DE regulation, DE supervision, lobbying and regulatory capture.
Therefore, the choice for millennials is straightforward and crystal clear:
1. Wait another 20 to 30 years for plutocracy democracy to go extinct, or
2. Create a new political party.
We Humanists are convinced that a new political party is the best answer for America—and, specifically, for the millennial generation.
Why? The millennial generation cannot afford to wait any longer. Not only are millennials behind the eight-ball economically, but they also face a much different world than the one their parents faced, with issues including, but not limited to, the European Union; the emerging economies of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICS); artificial intelligence; climate change; job automation; and others. According to our assessment, plutocracy democracy failed miserably to equip future American generations with the academic and financial tools they so desperately need to compete effectively in an ever-changing world economy. Millennials must take matters into their own hands.
If they don’t, well, it’s game over!
According to the Economic Policy Institute, while worker productivity increased 69.6% between 1979 and 2019, hourly pay has risen a measly 11.6%. Income, wages, and wealth generated over the last four decades have failed to (ahem) 'trickle down’ to Millennials largely because policy choices made on behalf of those with the most income, wealth, and power have exacerbated inequality.
What do we find when we compare baby boomers, generation X and millennials, at the “same average age of 34?” According to the Federal Reserve's Survey of Consumer Finances:
Ø Baby Boomers, at 34, (1989) had 21% of the nations’ wealth
Ø Generation X’ers, at 34, (2004) had 6% of the nations’ wealth
Ø Millennials, at 34, (2020) have a dismal 3% of the nations’ wealth but hold a colossal 16% of the nations’ liabilities
It’s time for millennials to relegate both the Democrat Party and the Republican Party to the history books alongside the Whigs and the Federalists. Millennials don’t need the Democrats. Millennials don’t need the Republicans.
