What we're about

Unity Northwest is a spiritual community that celebrates and affirms the unique path that each individual soul must walk. We're a diverse family of seekers who have gathered together to learn and grow. Our hearts are open to you. Here at Unity Northwest Church we offer tools for growth —practical methods you can use to open up your intuition, find answers to life's challenges and make progress in your spiritual development. It's not enough to just have a set of beliefs. You have to put them to work in healing yourself and the world. Please call on me, or any of us, when you need spiritual support. We are here for you! Life is meant to be lived as a joyous and growth filled experience, and God is the loving power and presence within us that helps us in our everyday lives. We invite you to connect your inner spirit with this community of like-minded souls. There's a place for you here. Come join us on this quest. ~ Gregory Barrette, Senior Minister

Monday Morning Metaphysics: This Thing Called You

Unity Northwest Church

Monday Morning Metaphysics has embarked on a new book study: the metaphysical classic, THIS THING CALLED YOU, by Dr. Ernest Holmes, founder of Religious Science and author of The Science of Mind. Considered one of Dr. Holmes' cornerstone works, THIS THING CALLED YOU guides readers through lessons that will put them in the flow of life and provide a better understanding of how changing their thinking can literally change their life. THIS THING CALLED YOU details gentle yet practical methods of meditation and prayer to use for healing, improving mind and body, and revealing the unlimited potential inherent in everyone. Monday Morning Metaphysics meets from 10:30 AM - Noon, and is open to everyone on a free-will offering basis. Books are available through Unity Northwest's bookstore, and are also available on Mondays in class. Facilitated by Rev. Mary Beth Speer. No pre-registration is necessary. For more information on this class, please call[masked] or visit Unity Northwest’s website at unitynorthwest.org. There is extra parking available next door at Harris Bank.

Weekly Silent Meditation Service

Unity Northwest Church

“Spending forty five minutes in meditation can make a powerful impact on your well-being and quality of life,” said Anita Stehmeier. “We have met for silent meditation for the past nine years. There is no single better tool for spiritual growth and personal well being than meditation. Being supported by a group makes meditation much easier.” A Silent Meditation Service is now being led by Anita Stehmeier, at Unity Northwest Church, 259 East Central Road, Des Plaines, at 6:00 pm every Tuesday. A free-will offering will be taken and no pre-registration is necessary. For more information on this Silent Meditation Service, please call[masked] or visit Unity Northwest’s website at www.unitynorthwest.org.
