Unity of Walnut Creek embodies a positive path for spiritual living. We present practical, spiritual teachings that empower abundant and meaningful living. We're located in the East Bay of the S.F. Bay Area, specifically in central Contra Costa County in the city of Walnut Creek. We offer Sunday services, prayer support, a book center, and many classes, special events and workshops to enhance personal and spiritual growth and foster wholeness in mind-body-spirit. This is an experiential four-day workshop that creates a safe space for breakthroughs in individual transformation and community healing in relation to gender and sexuality.
It is presented by the internationally acclaimed Gender Equity Reconciliation International (GERI), which for more than 32 years has been a safe place for deep truth-telling and healing between men, women, and inclusive of all genders.
Together in this workshop, women and men of all sexual orientations can enter into a deeper understanding and mutual appreciation of their own experience and journey. Doing so also awakens greater compassion, empathy, and understanding of others’ gender-based experiences and challenges.
Participants will be guided through an interactive and highly experiential process that includes personal reflection, small group interaction, silent meditation, somatic exercises, experiential honoring, and council process to explore and transform sensitive issues relating to gender and sexuality. The consistent result is a deeply nourishing and liberating experience for all participants
This workshop will be held at these dates and times:

Start your week centered in Spirit.
Led by Rev. Kristin Powell – and sometimes a guest speaker – you will experience a long, rich silence during guided meditation cushioned by music, plus the inspiration of a message both timely and timeless.
While this service is more contemplative, the 11:30 one is preceded by greetings and socialization, followed by upbeat, uplifting music, a short meditation, an inspiring talk, and a closing that includes a blessing of the children.
After both services, you are invited to mingle with others on the patio and check out the book store.

- Children & Youth Sunday GatheringUnity of Walnut Creek, Walnut Creek, CA
Give your children a chance to have a spiritual experience with other young people while you attend Sunday service in the Sanctuary.
Children meet in the Community Room and often move to activities on the lawn for activities guided by Michelle Cicala, Youth Education Director. The young people usually participate in their own version of the Sunday service theme, but sometimes focus on something else.
As the Sanctuary service ends, the children enter and report on their discussions or show off their artwork projects. They are then blessed by the congregation and join in for the closing song.
