Unity of Walnut Creek embodies a positive path for spiritual living. We present practical, spiritual teachings that empower abundant and meaningful living. We're located in the East Bay of the S.F. Bay Area, specifically in central Contra Costa County in the city of Walnut Creek. We offer Sunday services, prayer support, a book center, and many classes, special events and workshops to enhance personal and spiritual growth and foster wholeness in mind-body-spirit. BE LOVE on a Good Friday: A Living Story

On the holy day we call Good Friday and during the entire Holy Week, there is a collision between love and fear, courage and power, forgiveness and betrayal.
It is a story you may have heard many times. During Unity’s Good Friday service, you are invited to step inside it.
On this special evening, we will enter the Last Supper and Good Friday in a way that invites you to remember it, reimagine it in both ancient and modern times, and most of all to experience it within your own being.
What you will witness is not a replacement of the biblical narrative, but a reflection of its living truth. The characters you will meet are not only figures from history; they are archetypes within each of us.
It is a journey into the heart and the embodiment of Christ consciousness that includes immersion in sacred art and the ritual of communion, metaphysically understood.

Contemplative Sunday Service

Led by Rev. Kristin Powell – and sometimes a guest speaker – you will experience a long, rich silence during guided meditation cushioned by music, plus the inspiration of a message both timely and timeless.
While this service is more contemplative, the 11:30 one is preceded by greetings and socialization, followed by upbeat, uplifting music, a short meditation, an inspiring talk, and a closing that includes a blessing of the children.
After both services, you are invited to mingle with others on the patio and check out the book store.

Unity of Walnut Creek, 1871 Geary Rd., Walnut Creek, CA, USGive your children a chance to have a spiritual experience with other young people while you attend Sunday service in the Sanctuary.
Children meet in the Community Room and often move to activities on the lawn for activities guided by Michelle Cicala, Youth Education Director. The young people usually participate in their own version of the Sunday service theme, but sometimes focus on something else.
As the Sanctuary service ends, the children enter and report on their discussions or show off their artwork projects. They are then blessed by the congregation and join in for the closing song.
