Gearing Up for Global Game Jam (Lagos), Hosted at Center4Tech

Hello Everyone,

You are invited to join us for the 2017 Global Game Jam slated to hold as follows:

The Venue is Center4Tech Training Facility, 2 Metal Box Road, Off Acme Road, Ogba, Ikeja, Lagos.

Date is Friday, January 20 - Sunday, January 22, 2017 (all day – all night)

The Global Game Jam® (GGJ) is the world's largest game event (game creation) taking place around the world at physical locations. It is a 48-hour hackathon focused on game development where game developers and animators come together, be creative, share experiences and express themselves in a multitude of ways using games.

The weekend stirs a global creative buzz in games, while at the same time exploring the process of development, be it programming, iterative design, narrative exploration or artistic expression. It is all condensed into a 48 hour development cycle. The GGJ encourages people with all kinds of backgrounds to participate and contribute to this global spread of game development and creativity. We encourage people with all kinds of backgrounds (Pro games developers, Indie Gams Developers, Animators etc) to participate in this event and contribute to this global spread of game development and creativity.

The event will feature:

1. Game development workshops and tech talk on game development.

2. Global theme unveil event

3. Participants will form groups and develop real games based on a theme which will be announced globally! Finished games will be uploaded to Global Game Jam Sites at the end of the 48hrs.

4. Free meals, drinks, snacks, SWAGS
