What we’re about

My goal is to both organize group hiking opportunities while also being a voice to advocate for the preservation of off leash areas for our dogs to HIKE not just be in a small fenced area. Just like Portland bikers we need to use the power of many to advocate for what our dogs need! As Portland grows our pups will need a voice to preserve space because frankly, there is no financial gain in space for dogs. We would have to trust that city developers would do what is right to provide green space. Other cities that have developed fast have not thought about this before it was too late. Our dogs need to run and The Sandy River Delta is the ONLY place we currently have. Many dogs do not do well in a dog park because our pups were made to cover miles a day! We need more trails that are designated off leash. Schools and parks are used however we all know it is not permitted which does not feel like long term security to me.
