What we're about

Sober does not equal boring! No sireeee. Are you a teetotaller and are keen to meet others who like to have fun without booze in the mix? Or maybe you're doing a dry January, Feb Fast, Dry July, Ocsober or just some time off, and would just like to try something different (sans alcohol) for a bit?

Come join us at Untoxicated! This is a group whose focus isn't on not drinking. It's for people who refuse to be defined by their sobriety, who still like to get out amongst it and have fun but in the (relatively!) safe space of likeminded non-imbibers, and through a range of different activities.

Think movies, dinners, bush walks, kayaking, brunches, visit galleries, live music, picnics ... and open to your suggestions! Look forward to meeting you over a mocktail :)

We also have a Facebook group for those who prefer to connect online: https://www.facebook.com/groups/untoxicatedaus/

I'm not big on rules but please let me know if you've RSVPed and then can't make it. It's very disconcerting as an organiser to have people no show. I get that life gets in the way, but please update your RSVP even if it's late in the day. Thank you, lovelies <3

Picnic and kick about - Anzac Day, Mt. Cootha Botanical Gardens

Mount Coot-tha Botanic Gardens

Let's have a chilled afternoon on our day off - with a picnic and maybe a kick about at Botanical Gardens, Mount Cootha. It's a beautiful spot. If anyone has a football, a frisbee, or even lawn bowls (do it for Lee someone please!). Plenty of parking. And there are heaps of walks and greenhouses and stuff too. You can even bring a book if you like and just wile away a couple of hours doing not every much at all. As always, I will update with exact spot when I get there. Eat your heart out @ Eat St

Eat Street Northshore

Fasting is all the rage right now - the 16 hour fast, 2:5 diet and the 'only eating in your sleep fast' (I made that last one up). But maybe put the fasting plans on hold until AFTER you've been to Eat Street and gorged yourself silly on all the delicious cuisines they have on offer. If you haven't been yet, ZOMG you are in for a treat. There's pretty much every type of food you can think of here. For reals. I'll rock up a bit early and see if I can snag us somewhere to sit for us to use as a base. And, as always, I'll update the page with my whereabouts ('though I can't guarantee I won't be in disguise). Oh, and wear those pants you've got with the elasticated waist.

Dinner with a spectacular view @ Bar Spritz

Bar Spritz

The view at this place is just divine. The food is quite good, the service is so so, but you don't really notice as you're too busy being dazzled by the lights! Look forward to some great company, laughs and conversation with you all <3 We could even have a stroll after dinner and take in the view. Menu is here: https://www.barspritz.com.au/ Please bring cash as it's easier to split the bill.
