Overview:
Alex Litvak is the Director of Engineering at Fiverr ( https://www.fiverr.com/) and has been building and managing highly scalable distributed systems for over 12 years.
Alex is Passionate about software architecture, Domain Drive Design, scaling Microservices and how they affect the engineering teams we build.
In this session, Alex will take you through the evolution of Fiverr's architecture from the traditional Ruby on rails monolith to microservices, CQRS, event-driven data integration using Apache Kafka and even further - the journey to micro apps. Alongside the technical discussion, Alex will also highlight how he successfully created a highly autonomous team and how to create highly effective, decoupled, product engineering teams. Alex will deep dive into the different architectural decisions he made along the way, and share any valuable lessons he learned along the way.
