What we're about
Are you interested in making things? Well, lets put that energy to use and create the Upper Valley MakerSpace and the Claremont MakerSpace! A MakerSpace is a community-operated workspace where people with common interests in areas like computing, robotics, technology, science, art, jewelry, textiles and creating interesting things can meet, socialize and collaborate in a shared environment, with access to tools, machines and facilities.
No experience is needed, only your curiosity and imagination. We want to create two MakerSpaces located in the Upper Valley and we want you to join us and help us make them.
The Upper Valley MakerSpace and the Claremont MakerSpace are projects of TwinState MakerSpaces, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and will provide education, tools, a shared workspace, and a community to empower fabricators, hobbyists, artists, and early stage entrepreneurs, to create on a large or small scale. Each will be a place where you can build something, break something, and learn something.
Each will be a place where you can take your idea and create something. We hope that they will be full of tools that you can use, or bring your own to share. Cool tools like CNC machines, 3d printers, electronics test equipment, screenprinting,, metal machining, wood working tools , welding, giant sewing machines …
We will offer classes on a wide range of topics for makers. On site material storage will be available. Space will be available for rent so you won't have to pack your project up when you go home.
Please help us take the next step in making the Upper Valley MakerSpace and the Claremont MakerSPace a reality. Please take our survey (http://goo.gl/D0RJrH) now and let us know what you want your MakerSpace to be.
