As UX professionals in the Pacific Northwest, what is the unique mix of considerations we need to take into account for our work?

On November 29, join UXPA and Deloitte Digital as we host an evening of short talks sharing our views on this subject, while enjoying guided tastings of local Washington wines.

We will explore:

Societal and ethical UX considerations. Is there really a “Seattle Freeze”, and what role does technology play in influencing it? As UX practitioners, how are we responsible in helping keep the Freeze alive and is there a way to minimize our influence?
Technological considerations. As UX practitioners in a tech-savvy city, what do we need to do know about emerging technology such as machine learning? What can we do as UXers today to best prepare us for the future?
Research considerations. What is it like conducting user research in our unique environment? What can we do to get the most out of our users? We'll share some tips on facilitating interviews with introverted or reluctant subjects
Feedback considerations. What to do - and what not to do - to facilitate feedback sessions with product owners. How can you successfully work with product owners who are closed off, quiet or socially awkward?
So sit back, relax, wine in hand and enjoy an informal evening with your UX colleagues.

Please note, because we will be serving wine, this event will be for ages 21+. Please bring ID.

Admission is free.
