1. The purpose of this group is to use the principles of the Law of Attraction to Break the Cycle of Addiction and Codependency.
2. Anyone can join who wants more tools of recovery. Recovery is the process of changing thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in order to allow more joy, fun, and clarity in life.
3. I am a clinical psychologist who specializes in addiction and codependency treatment. I am going to present the most effective recovery tools that I have acquired in my 20 year career.

The Downside of Success – Anger and Clearing the Vow to Rebel: In this process you’ll uncover and clear the reasons you sabotage yourself when you try to manifest your dreams.

The downside of success is when we had a lot of the anger at one or both of our parents. Pay attention to that anger at one or both parents. Many of us had parents that were behaving very badly, or a parent that abandoned us or betrayed us, or was never there, or really tough stuff. Other people can feel angry at their parents for not teaching them – for keeping it a secret, for not making them literate and giving them the language around basic needs and guidance around growing up. Or sometimes we’ll feel anger at a parent for not advocating enough, for being the victim, for not standing up to another partner or demanding their worth, etc.
Anywhere that you may feel anger at a parent, it’s okay, even if you love your parents and they are sweet little old people now. It’s okay, for the purpose of this, to just explore into that, lean into that anger a little bit because we’re going to do some Tapping on it. When you have anger it means that all of your life you are going to be in a boom and bust cycle. You’re going to make have success, and then you’re going to sabotage it.

Your Body is your first Chakra. It's the foundation of power upon which everything in your energy system is built. It's the level of consciousness that represents all that is solid and tangible in your life. It's the means by which you manifest material things and circumstances in your life.

Being in your body, being present, is crucial to feeling alive and healthy and taking action. When you are not in your body, you feel scattered and ungrounded. Your presence will not have much power or impact, and you may go unnoticed by others.

Most of us don't love our bodies fully but reject aspects of them. Rejecting any part of your body is rejecting your first Chakra, and the empowerment energy it's meant to bring you. Body rejection disconnects you from your physical self, which means you can't ever be fully present or fully alive.

In this healing experience, you are going to look at how you feel about your physical body. Healing body rejection can have a major impact on your energy, your personal power, and your presence in the world.

Being stressed out or under pressure can take a toll on our bodies and our lives. Many of us are wired to start the day with anxiety or dread of the tasks ahead. People often wake up grumbling or frustrated, imagining problems which might develop during the day.

Many of us operate on a daily basis in crisis mode, or feeling fight, flight, or freeze. It is important to recognize our baseline stress level, because even moderate levels of stress can have a massive impact on health, happiness, and wellbeing.

Stress takes energy away from our bodies functioning properly. We are missing out on our most brilliant creative capabilities and mental focus. Instead our attention is scattered and our thinking is rigid and fear-based. At very high stress levels, it is as if we are trying to function with a brain injury. No wonder we can't get things done!

The stress-response aspect of the first Chakra takes even spiritually advanced people by surprise because it boils down to how we really operate on a daily basis. Are we frenetic, scattered, dependent on caffeine, and always running out of time? Are we frozen and ineffective, worried about not accomplishing our goals? Or are we feeling ease and flow and satisfied with simple alignment, taking joyful, excited and focused action?

Children will reach out with the pleasure of the pure being of their aliveness, and when they’re met with love and encouragement, it really invites to new things. It invites us to enthusiasm and invites us to want things. Abraham Hicks would call it that leading edge of our desire.

If we don’t desire anything, we don’t have any energy for inspiration. In a very energetic way, at the second chakra we allow, we ask for what we really want and if the second chakra energy is open, we are able to receive our desires. We are open to receiving and, at a very black-and-white level, if we don’t desire anything, we block the receiving mode. The question becomes, what have we been asking for and what do we truly desire?

At the second chakra, it’s our right to feel and our right to want and to have pleasure. To recover our second chakra energy, to work on the second chakra energy, we reclaim the right to feel. We reclaim the right to want things, and to want pleasure and passion. That means we are reclaiming our rights to need things, which is also known as neediness. To be open to receive things is also known as vulnerability, and that’s where getting into the "receiving mode" of the creative energy flow can feel counter intuitive.
