We will examine common networking patterns for running containerized applications in various hybrid cloud environments. This will include patterns for environments that are under strict egress/ingress restrictions. We will also cover solutions client’s utilize in these environments for exposing applications publicly in on-premise/baremetal/edge environments. Additionally: we will look at some patterns for having a central point of ingress traffic for environments with mixed VM and containerized workload. These patterns will be examined through the lense of IBM Cloud Satellite environments and we will take a live look into some environments implementing these patterns.
Tyler Lisowski is the lead architect of IBM Cloud Satellite. He brings Cloud technologies where clients need it with the controls they require. He optimizes how regulated clients manage global technology fleets at the edge, on premise, and in public cloud environments. He unlocks business opportunities for clients with streamlined hybrid cloud architectures. He develops secure Cloud technology that enables businesses to be compliant in a rapidly evolving regulated industry space. Tyler has been a part of IBM Cloud’s PaaS organization since 2016 and has designed and implemented large scale Kubernetes offerings including IBM Cloud Kubernetes Service, Red Hat OpenShift on IBM Cloud and IBM Cloud Satellite.
