We love PHP: it is fast, (relatively) lean, and includes the features we know and love! It is a strong competitor even in the world of micro-services. The one drawback to selecting PHP as your platform of choice is the webserver lurking in the shadows: nginx, apache2, and other "big brothers" that represent an onerous "middle-man" to complicate your stack and occupy your time.

Enter Swoole, a PHP-extension that provides async, multi-threaded I/O modules. You could write your own server, that performs 4 times faster than nginx+fpm. Or an asynchronous database transaction. Or a chat client.

Take I-15 to the SR-92 (Timpanogos Hwy.) exit. Go West on SR-92. Turn right on N. Thanksgiving Way (In front of the Maverick). At the T intersection, turn right to continue on N. Thanksgiving Way. Turn left on W. Mayflower Ave.

Enter through the front door and immediately turn left and the auditorium will be right in front of you.
