Apache Kafka is a distributed streaming platform with Publish/Subscribe semantics. Apache Kafka was developed at LinkedIn and it's model of write once, read many times in the form of a TCP stream has enabled a wide range of applications to emerge. In this talk I'll walk through the motivation behind Kafka, discuss the Kafka Streams API and end with a demo of KSQL, SQL on Kafka Streams.
