What: Open Support group for mental health practitioners in Ventura County Who: Pre-licensed and licensed mental health practitioners welcome* *This group does not do case consultation or supervision for pre-licensed When: 2nd and 4th Monday of the month, 10:00–11:00am (some exceptions may apply) Where: "Give an Hour California" - 660 Hampshire Rd, Suite 102, Westlake Village, CA Led by: Britt Fishman, MA, LMFT #90668 Cost: Free Working in the mental health field can be very difficult, especially for those just getting started. Like their clients, therapists need a space to process, explore, and receive support. This group seeks to create a safe environment to support fellow therapists in our community, to discuss the challenges in our field, and to use these opportunities for growth. These opportunities may include: building confidence in your skills, practicing self-care, managing vicarious trauma, making the most of your supervision and other resources, acclimating to your new role as a mental health practitioner, and developing a professional network for referrals. What we're about

This Meet Up site is and open forum for any mental health professionals to create and host groups to proliferate the connections to our greater community of mental wellness providers. Any individual, group, agency or organization may host a meet up with VCCAMFT approval. It is the hope of VCCAMFT that we have created a tool for all to utilize to build awareness and capacity to grow our local profession. The group meet ups are to create opportunities to learn, grow and support one another in the development and proliferation of the mental health field of therapy. Meet ups can be for the purposes of education, support, networking, social connections and community awareness.
