THE PRESENTERS:

Meet Chris White - Owner of Nice Vice and "The Bad Vice Conquerer"

Chris White grew up in the ice cream world. His dad cruised around London in the sixties in his very own ice cream truck, sharing all the stories of his adventures with Chris. Ice cream is something close to Chris’ heart, which was part of the inspiration for Nice Vice (http://www.nicevicecream.com).

Chris wanted to create a product that was still tasty and reminiscent of his childhood. After being in recovery and clean for six years, Chris sought to replace his bad vices with new and nice ones. Inspired by vice cream pioneer Jeff Rogers (The Naughty Vegan), Chris began making his own vice cream (from scratch) out of his kitchen for himself and his three boys. He also attended the Ice Cream University in NYC with the Godfather of Ice Cream, Malcolm Stogo, and did a "workation" in Austin, Texas with Sweet Ritual, another vice cream parlor.

Chris is passionate about producing a healthy, sustainable, and guilt-free indulgence for his local community of Vancouver. There are no limits to his vision for Nice Vice – he's eager to open several dairy-free scoop shops, a fleet of vice cream vans, and even expand into different food groups!

Meet Jessica Kralj - Owner of Tasty Plants

You probably know her as Jessica, the amazing owner of Tasty Plants (http://www.tastyplants.ca) (previously Vegan Devour), however, her success is not by luck. She is an 18-year - marketing, advertising, banking, investments and business owner - veteran. With a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Advertising and a post-graduate diploma in Marketing for Businesses, Jessica knows her stuff. Jessica also has 9 years of experience as Senior Financial Advisor specializing in Personal and Business Banking including Lending and Investments! Prior to moving to Canada from Venezuela, she owned a successful business. She redefines, "been there, done that".

Jessica truly loves food and enjoys cooking for people. Whether she is eating out at a restaurant, or just having good times with friends in her own kitchen, Jessica is always inspired to make delicious meals using fresh ingredients, and Tasty Plants has become the perfect channel to bring her passion to you and your family.

Tasty Plants started with the idea of creating a business that would help people with busy schedules by providing them with good and nutritious meals, while promoting the consumption of Plant-Based products.

Eating a diet loaded with Plant-Based foods will provide you with antioxidants, nutrients, vitamins, minerals, low fat and high fiber, all the elements needed for optimal health.

A Plant-Based diet can heal not only our bodies and spirit but also our environment and our beautiful planet!

Meet Laura Simonson - Owner of DOGG Canine Nutrition and Founder of VEGAN Vancouver

Laura Simonson (http://www.laurasimonson.com), a business woman and entrepreneur for over 25 years, is the owner of DOGG Canine Nutrition (http://www.doggfood.ca) here in Vancouver. DOGG has set out to become a leading brand in canine nutrition by producing; extraordinary, fresh, whole, plant-based foods, supported by unprecedented research. Laura is also the founder of VEGAN Vancouver and will be the MC for this awesome event.
