Our goals as a group:

1) Introduce people from historically underrepresented groups to the VR/AR industry: make your first connection, attend your first meetup, network and get hands-on experience

2) Normalize the presence and contributions of historically underrepresented groups in the VR/AR field

3) Harassment-free spaces and events for historically underrepresented groups and their allies

Who attends our events: Beginners, professionals, academics, artists, students, coders, designers, sound engineers, composers, etc of all levels.

What you'll find at our events: Educational opportunities, workshops & talks on a variety of VR/AR design & development topics, demos of VR (and possibly AR) experiences.

Our meetup group is a safe, inclusive, harassment-free space, regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion (or lack thereof). We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form.

The VR/AR Collective is also dedicated to providing a recruiting & sales free space. This means no organized recruiting activities or sales pitches without an invitation.

These policies apply to everyone participating in VR/AR Collective events and online spaces. "Everyone" includes attendees, organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and event hosts. Participants violating the Code of Conduct may be sanctioned or asked to leave VR/AR Collective events and online spaces.

If you would like to sponsor our events, or you have a topic you'd like to give a talk or presentation about, please reach out to us!
