What we’re about
We are a broad group made up of software developers, designers, gamers, artists and more that share a common love of immersive technology (VR, AR, MR, xR, The Metaverse – whatever you want to call it!).
We mostly meet in person to hear from those working in the immersive space, try prototypes and demos, and generally socialise with like-minded folk. We also occasionally run other events like pub meetups and hack days.
Sign up to our mailing list to always hear about our latest events.
You can also Follow us on Twitter or Instagram. Join our Slack group to chat and connect with members of our community online.
All attendees are required to abide by our code of conduct.

Talk Details
As a veteran XR practitioner from Silicon Valley and now “across the pond,” Clorama will share lessons learned from building immersive technologies at two of the world’s leading XR companies — Meta and Google. She'll unpack the different motivations that shaped each company’s approach to XR, how content and partnership strategies evolved, and what these teams look for when hiring or collaborating with developers and creators.
From designing meaningful avatars to nurturing developer ecosystems — and navigating the tension between cutting-edge research and real-world product constraints — this talk will explore what it really takes to build XR at scale, and how smaller teams can apply these insights without needing a billion-dollar budget.
