This month's meetup will take place at Victoria's first virtual reality arcade, VicVR (http://www.vicvr.ca/), where founder Shealand Keais will talk about the creation of the venue, the challenges, and other notable examples from around the world.
One of the great things about arcades like this, is the ability to play multiplayer games in the same space (rather than online). We'll demo a couple such games, including one from local game developer, Wizard Games (http://wizardgames.ca/about/). Matthew Paxman (CEO / Creative Director) will tell us about their recently-released Cowbots and Aliens (http://store.steampowered.com/app/517670/), where multiple players can grab, throw, flip, smash, shoot, interact with EVERYTHING in an all out intergalactic Wild West brawl!
