##### The hike to Castell de Polpís in the Serra d’Irta Natural Park (Castellón) is a beautiful and medium level route, perfect for nature lovers. It begins in olive, carob, and almond groves, then transitions into a Mediterranean forest of pine, rosemary, and juniper. Along the way, you’ll see old lime kilns transformed into stone shelters, adding historical intrigue. The ascent is gentle, with a slightly steeper incline near the castle. At the top, enjoy stunning views of the mountains, coastline, and of Peñíscola. During the hike, we will visit the Arabic castle, built in the 10th and 11th centuries at 430 meters high, where we will stop for lunch and finish in Beautiful PEÑISCOLA , a coastal gem, boasts a stunning Templar castle, rich history, movie fame, and delicious seafood paella.
