We'll paddle from Liberty Station to the Tall Ships lineup at the Embarcadero. Play among the ships, then return to Liberty Station for lunch with the group.
Festival of Sail is the LARGEST Tall Ship festival on the West Coast and is hosted at the Maritime Museum of San Diego, transforming the North Embarcadero over Labor Day weekend into a nautical theme park.
Then you can drive to the Embarcadero to see the sand sculptures and vendors.
What to Bring: All safety gear (life jackets must be worn by all paddlers), VHF radio, camera, zinc sunscreen for skin and lips, sun glasses, water and snacks for the paddle, hat, food and drinks for the picnic (everyone brings their own, and no glass bottles please), and a blanket to sit on. There is a grassy area next to the ramp for cleaning off your boat, so bring water for that.
Last year we shared rooms and stayed the night..... was so much fun!!
Always paddle at your own risk and we expect you have a life jacket, as it is required to paddle with the club.
