What we're about

Are you in your 20's or 30's and want to meet new people who share your interests of exploring the beautiful outdoor playground that the Lower Mainland has to offer? If your answer is "yes" then I'm glad you found this group! :) While hiking is the main focus, camping, swimming, sports, snowshoeing, skiing/snowboarding, backpacking, and weekend road-trips can be something to look forward to as well.

Night hike - Burke Mt

100 meters away from Coquitlam Gun Club you will see a gate which is the main entrance for Burke Mountain

• What we'll do Join me for a workout to get our hiking muscles ready for the coming season. We will hike up our local Burke mountain using a series of mountain bike trails and some road way. It's a good leg burner in a few sections! There is a variety of routes we can do and we may choose to try something different from time to time. The most common route is the one you see in the pic which ends at snowmobiler cabins. If time and enthusiasm permits we can continue up the ridge to the site of the former ski lodge. The cabins are about 700m gain + 2hrs return time, the lodge site is 900m ~3hrs return time. Afterwards we may go for a drink at the Arms Pub (Coast Meridian & Prairie) Directions: Drive north up Coast Meridian Road turn right on Harper and drive to the end where a gate on the right is the trail head and there is parking on the left. • What to bring **10 essentials**, HEADLIGHTS, spare batteries, appropriate footwear & clothing, Water, Snacks, first aid, microspikes/snowshoes - depending on season & conditions • Important to know
