Hi, I am Candy, a Non-Profit Founder, and a Marketing & Sales professional in Canada. I have extensive business experience spanning over 10 years, working for several large businesses in a variety of management positions. I graduated from the Business Management program at Douglas College in Canada, and I transferred to the University of British Columbia in 2020. I like to meet great professionals and help others achieve more.
Inspired by my mentor, Jennifer Nelson, I founded VCDC to help people achieve their professional dreams. We aim to build a supportive network of business leaders, professionals, and dream makers who strive to create more connections, opportunities, and growth.
We provide services to help with Career Development, Networking, Cross-Cultural Training, and Tech Upskilling. We also assist entrepreneurs in growing their businesses, help companies diversify their workforce, and facilitate Cross-Cultural Training.
The services at VCDC are in-kind/free! It's not the practice of making a living by engaging in this club. It's an act of kindness, "the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate" to help others achieve more (Oxford).
We meet once a quarter, either virtually or in person.

- 6:30-6:35 PM: Welcome & intro
- 6:35-7:05 PM: Casual mingling over food and drinks (pay your own bill)
- 7:05-8:55 PM: Structured 1:1 networking round (10 min each; right side moves, left side stays)
- 8:55-9:00 PM: Closing & staying connected / future events
Registration & Confirmation
- Fees only cover the past three months of Meetup subscription costs, it does not include the host’s time for planning, marketing, communication, and managing this event
- Capacity: 20 confirmed group members
- Deadline: Confirmation closes by September 12 or once we reach 20 members, whichever comes first

How to Attend:
- Pls arrive around 6:20-6:25 PM so we can start on time.
- At the entrance, let the front receptionist know the reservation is under Candy.
- They'll guide you to our table.
- Check in with us so we can have you seated and settled.
Just Being Upfront
- This is our 8th networking event, limited to 20 confirmed members only. Walk-ins unfortunately can't be accommodated.
- Our club is all about trust and genuine connections, so we don’t allow selling — including investment solicitations (asking members for money for a business or project with promised returns). This helps keep our community safe, supportive, and positive.
