Fraser Health approached us in the spring of 2011 to fix a broken youth and young adult early assessment mental health tool they had had developed a year previous, the original mindcheck.ca (http://mindcheck.ca/).
The case study will cover the challenges we encountered on this project, how we were able to turn these challenges into creative opportunities and how we executed on our ideas using a lot of Drupal, some Webforms, HTML5 video, an alpha channel, a bit of After Effects, the nimbb.com (http://nimbb.com/) API and a couple of hours with Kevin Bieksa.
Andrew has been building websites since 1998 and using Drupal since 5.3. Up until two months ago he had been working as the Digital Account Director for Grey Advertising, managing digital projects for clients such as TransLink, BC Ferries, Ledcor, Wireless Wave, Tbooth, UBC ECE, BCMHAS, Westminster Savings and others.
He is now currently operating a small web development firm (just himself) in 64 sqft of office space (it's a shed in his backyard) in South Surrey, BC.
Attendees are invited to share their experience by giving a 2 to 4 minute presentation on any topic of interest to the Drupal community. If you want to use a laptop to show a website or control panel please be sure you have the necessary cable (vga) to connect to an overhead projector.
