K8S meetup Inauguration

Greetings to all! I'm super excited to announce that our very first K8S meetup will take place on Thursday, March 2nd, hope you can all join us to celebrate the inauguration and work together with us to grow the K8S community in Vancouver!

The meetup will begin with a presentation by Evan Digby (https://www.linkedin.com/in/evandigby) from Go2mobi (https://go2mobi.com/) to talk about some of their war stories bringing Kubernetes to production. Here is an overview of Evan's talk:

As Go2mobi's multi-datacenter bare metal infrastructure grew, so did the complexity of managing the systems ran upon it. The team realized that Ansible and similar automation tools weren't elegantly solving their problems so they set out to find a better solution.

This talk highlights key lessons learned (sometimes painfully) by the Go2mobi team while transitioning it's complex systems to Kubernetes. It includes practical details on how they've evolved their systems to take full advantage of Kubernetes features as well as a few tips to make your transition a smooth one.

Following Evan's presentation we'll try out Un-conference (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unconference) sessions which is a great way to get everyone involved in sharing ideas and learning from each other.

During the un-conference members will propose session topics, vote for their favourite ones, pick the top few and form concurrent discussion groups. Generally a session will last for 30-40 minutes. Let's see how many sessions we can do! This all depends on how many great ideas members can propose.
